Daddy requested Grandmommy's caramel cake, so I gave it my best shot. You even helped!

I was timid, but have watched grandmommy make this cake numerous times. With her notes and patience in talking me through the process, this was the final result. Pretty great if I do say so myself!
On Wednesday night, we set everything out and had a nice celebration. Daddy loved his present from us!

Oh what dear memories the story of the caramel cake brings up! I remember when your mom made one for me and I truly felt like I was a part of the family that has always been so in my heart. :) What a labor of love and what a great family tradition you are sharing with Hannah Kathryn!
