Mommy's friend from graduate school was in town for a meeting, so we met up with her at the world of Coke. Mrs. Sarah has two sweet little girls of her own, one is close to your age. She was very excited to meet you! One of the benefits to being back in the ATL is that the CDC is in our back yard. Since my fellow graduate school friends work in public health, they travel here often. It's a win for us! It had been almost three years since I'd seen Sarah. I digress....
Back to Coke! You really enjoyed looking around the museum. You were captivated by the short movie at the beginning of the tour. You just sat in my lap staring at the big screen. You'd never seen anything like it in your short two years. I don't think it will be long before we can take you to a real movie. Your little face lit up and you even shook from the excitement! You were too cute "meeting" the stars of the film afterward (it was some sort of puff ball with big lips)
In addition to your first big screen "movie", the museum also presented another first opportunity for you...your first sip of a soft drink (well, to my knowledge). Coke has a huge tasting room. It's fun to sample products from all over the globe. Mrs. Sarah and I were adventurous and tried almost all the flavors available. I only let you have the lemon fanta. I wasn't brave enough to let you drink caffeine, even if it was just a sip. You loved it and kept asking for more. You were pretty sticky by the end of our visit.
You really enjoyed exploring the memorabilia room. Mrs. Sarah and I just laughed watching you have so much fun.
At the end of the tour, you got to pick out your very own glass bottle of Coke as a souvenir to take home.
We really enjoyed our time with Mrs. Sarah and were so happy we got to meet up during her time in ATL.
