When we take you out places or leave you with others, we generally hear phrases like: "She's a hoot!,"I just love watching her," "she has so much personality," "she is just a sweetheart," and "what a happy child you have." We agree!
This month you:
- Know all of your ABC's by sight and can sing the ABC song. You mumble some parts, but mostly have it down pat.
- Can count, in order, from 1-8 and will be to 10 soon! You recognize 1-10 by sight.
- Know a few more colors this month: pink, green, orange, yellow and blue
- Are finally getting your two year old molars. The top, right corners of the first molar popped through your gum line this month.
- Enjoyed your first popsicle... you promptly shivered and said "cold"
- Ate corn on the cob for the first time.
- Tasted your first soft drink at the World of Coke (it was lemon fanta).
- Try to drink from a "big girl cup" whenever you get the chance.
- Enjoyed playing with your new kitchen set. Maymee and Grandaddy gave it to you for Christmas and I JUST got around to putting it together for you :) You LOVE it! Watching you play pretend is the cutest!
- Are "learning" to play golf. Daddy took you to the golf store and began teaching you how to putt. It was really sweet and you had a blast! You are your father's child....
- Have a new favorite show, Super Why. You frequently ask to "watch Why." Not to worry, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse is still up there.
- You are still addicted to your paci (and have even been known to "double paci"), but only get it during naps and bed time. You're doing really well with it so far, so we're hoping that when we finally take it away you'll be a champ.
- Love to say "OK" and flash a big grin in response to questions we ask you.
- Love to count to three and then perform a task (e.g. jumping or putting paci in the crib)
- Started our fall music class. Your little face lit up when we walked in the door and saw Ms. Nikki. You even sang your tonal patterns with her on the first day! I was so proud of how brave you were.
- Spent a lot of time with extended family this month. We are so blessed to live so close to them.
Grandaddy
Great Aunt Susan and MeganSmooth
Cousin Bailey
- Love to to read. Mimi got you a new book this month, "Click, Clack Moo" and you have really taken a liking to it. Daddy reads you a book all about the University of Alabama and you're beginning to ask him to read you "Beeg Al" on a regular basis.
- Love to color and paint.
- Like to walk dogs. Our neighbors have a small white dog that you adore. They let you take over the leash for a little while one day this month and you giggled and grinned the entire time. After that, you tried to take Daisy by the collar and lead her places. That didn't so much work out well for you.
- Enjoy helping me with chores. Although, you don't like using the child sized tools. You want to hold Mommy's and we generally end up pushing a broom or a vacuum together when all is said and done :)
- Have figured out that you can push your learning tower any where you want it to go and then climb up in it. You proudly say "look at you!" when you finally climb up.
- Asked where your Daddy was for the first time this month. He travels most days of the week and it's never phased you. This month, you asked for him and where he was. You even talked to his picture and kissed it. We did "face time" for the first time as a result. Oh boy! Did you love that! You were so excited to see him and talk to him. You kissed the phone and showed him all of your letters. It's something we'll have to keep up with.
- Your memory is getting better. Your Aunt Bess and Uncle Rob kept you one night this month. When I walked in your room the next morning you said "Aunt Bess, cookies, Rob" Apparently, you baked pretend cookies with them the night before. It was too cute! Mimi also kept you earlier this month and the two of you made play-doh. You opened up one of our cabinets and handed me the food coloring and said "Mimi's colors." I told Mimi the story and she said she let you choose the color you wanted to put into the play-doh. I was shocked you remembered!
- Joined a play group. It's a smaller group made up from kids in our Mom's Club.
- Occasionally call your Daddy, "Wes." I think it's hilarious. He doesn't.
- Will start a MDO program this week. I'm really excited for you. It's through a local church and you already know at least two kids in your class.
- Our favorite Hannahisms:
- Boozies- blueberries
- Banay- banana
- P-budder- peanut butter
- Tee-two- Thank you
- grips- grapes
- mommy do- mommy do it
