First days...

Our sweet Collins is such a joy in our lives. Love at first sight!

Collins was born on a Thursday and we were released from the hospital on Saturday. I cherished that hospital time. I was really able to focus on getting to know this brand new life and soaking her in. This was particularly important for me, since my attention would be divided once I got home. We had some good talks and snuggles during our alone times.

I kept Collins in my room during the days and sent her to the nursery at night. She is a good baby! Even the nurses said she was the calm one of the bunch at night when everyone else was upset. I'm not sure how we lucked out! She fell into a great eating and sleeping pattern right from the start and has kept it up, even at home.

First morning...

Big yawn!

Our first non family visitor dropped by just hours after the arrival. Ms. Ro is a dear friend and our very first friend after we moved. It's a great story how we met. She happened to be at the hospital that day and came to see if she could find us. I'd just been moved to recovery, so it was nice to see a familiar face and introduce her to our newest little one.

Ashley also came by, but I forgot to get a picture :( We had a busy morning, including another visit from big sister and Grandmommy and Grandaddy. Hannah picked out new, pink pacis for Baby Collins and brought them to the hospital. She was so excited to give her the one with a big bow on it. Collins also gave Hannah a Big Sister gift. H loved her new Anna nightgown, Sophia crown, twisty crayons, animal cookies, and a big sister book.

Open up Collins!

Sweet girl!

Love the details. I literally just stared at Collins and took every sweet inch of her in. What a doll!

We have a blondie

At lunch, our visitors cleared out. It was time for me to get some much needed rest. The doctors were also making their rounds, Collins got her first check up with the pediatrician. She's healthy as can be and passed all of her tests with flying colors.

Eyes wide open!

Saturday- time to go home.

We had our final check ups Saturday morning, I worked extensively with a lactation consultant, and then were cleared to leave. It was a rainy and nasty day to take Miss Collins home. The family arrived at the hospital around noon. Hannah seemed excited and picked out her prettiest dress to wear.

We decided to dress Collins in her Mimi's infant dress to go home in. Wes proudly put it on her and then we took a few family photos.

New family of four

My escort

Welcome home, Sweet Collins! This time, Daisy pretty much did a "drive by" and then was done. Her poor face said it all....oh no, not another ;)

We are settling into our new life as a family of four! More to come....
