I will add pictures to this post later in the week :)
At 19 Months You:
*Recognize and recite letters A, B, C, D, and O (yep, O...)
*Are beginning to count... although it all comes out as "tee-o" for two.
*Are beginning to string words together. In typical Hannah fashion phrases like "Please, Cracker" are generally at the forefront of your mind.
* Have many new words. Last month you were a little parrot and started repeating most of the words you heard us say. This month, you continued that trend. A few that you said out of the blue (without us saying them and then you immediately repeating them) that I actually remember: Broccoli and acorn
*Are singing tonal and rhythmic patterns in music class. This is fun for your mom!!!
*Can stack multiple numbers of blocks into a teetering tower.
*Sharpening your fine motor skills. We got you a wooden food set that you can "cut/slice" each piece a part. You are doing exceptionally well with it. You struggle with the round items (apples, peppers, etc). You haven't figured out that you have to hold with one hand and cut with the other. The flat pieces (bread, watermelon) were easier, since you don't have to hold and cut.
*Are finally doing much better with drop-offs at nursery both at church and at the gym!! There have been several "no tears" moments!! Go Hannah!
*You follow directions (even multi-step) very well.
*Have been quite vocal naming items of clothing and then either pointing to or saying the corresponding body part its worn on (eg: sock, shoe, foot; hat, head; glove, hand; bow, head; etc)
*Like playing games especially when it involves being tickled. You even "tickle" your own neck and say tickle, tickle when we've stopped
*STILL put EVERYTHING into your mouth... chalk, leaves, crayons, paper, stickers...you name it, it goes. We still have to watch you closely to make sure you don't get a hold of anything you're not supposed to have... which you inevitably do. The pediatrician said "just keep her hands busy" she clearly hasn't seen you in action.
*Are slowly transitioning to one nap per day
*Love, and that's with a capital "L," Daisy! Most of the time, I find you lounging on Daisy, taking her collar on and off, teasing her with her own toys (yes, you know which are hers), and even feeding Daisy. In fact, we gave you your first chore.... feeding Daisy. You pour two scoops of food into her bowl day and night and just love it!
*May, and I say that's a strong may, be getting your two year old molars. It's just a hunch. The only time you ever wake up from a sound sleep SCREAMING is when you've been teething. You've been waking up lately. You are such an early teether, that I think these molars may be the culprit.
*Have begun throwing tantrums. Lucky us. This month you had your first, out right tantrum. I'm talking red face, screaming, fists clenched tantrum. In your defense, you were very tired and had just gotten your 18 month shots that morning. Regardless of the circumstances, it happened. I ignored you, and you eventually got over it. They seem to happen in the late afternoon.
*Are a lover of being outside, blowing bubbles, sidewalk chalk ("caulk"), balls, stuffed animals, your paci, books, carrying small bags (mostly my old purses) dancing and music.
